Post subject:  Advanced rule condition "This app: Memory is above XXMb"

I am monitoring MS SQL server process and trying to trigger a script on "This app: memory load is above XX MB" but the trigger is not working when the memory is higher than 2GB.

I notice that when memory reach 2048Mb or more, the value on the label "Current Memory Usage" turns to any negative integer value.

Please help me,

Thank you

Strange behavior. Kiwi uses numbers provided by Windows itself and this never happened before.
However, I included an absolute function to filter those negative numbers out. Sending you the new executable so you can test it (attached)

Now it shows the Absolute value. But the value on this case does not make any sence for my trigger.

More Details:
sqlserv.exe has a memory limit to 4Gb (According to SQL Server )

And I leave an image with the zipped version running and the OS details.

I am giving to you more details about this behavior. If you need more, please let me know.

For now I have the trigger looking on "Computer Memory Load Above XX" and is working according my nescesities.

Thank you.

I'm glad it works for you now.

Regarding negative numbers i've found: "Negative values can appear if the page file has grown at some point in the past, and has since shrunk. SQL Server uses lots of memory and pages a lot, so this type of behavior is pretty common for SQL Server."
